As a VMware® technology partner, EfficientIP's virtual appliances are fully compatible and run seamlessly on VMWare® virtual machines.

However, it also makes your network infrastructure more complex to manage and that is why EfficientIP went further and developped solutions for IP - DNS - DHCP services management in virtual as well as physical environments.
Unified Management of IPAM - DNS - DHCP architectures
EfficientIP's solution, SOLIDserver™, ensures a dynamic and integrated management of IPAM with DNS and DHCP services in a single process, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency. The tasks of network administrators are therefore dramatically reduced and simplified.
For instance, it is possible to create a /24 subnet, in one operation, with IP ranges allocated to DHCP service. All configurations will be carried out automatically by SOLIDserver™ and will configure DNS and DHCP services according to specified options.
Multi-Vendor DNS-DHCP services Management
SOLIDserver™ is fully compatible with Microsoft®, Cisco®, Nominum® and opensource virtual technologies, and can manage mixed architectures. SOLIDserver™ unifies the management of multi-vendors DNS and DHCP servers on a single IPAM solution to simplify service deployment, increase quality and cut operating costs.
SmartArchitecture™: Manage DNS-DHCP Services at the Architecture Level
SmartArchitecture™ simplifies the deployment and the management of your DNS-DHCP services by managing not only your servers but the entire service architecture. Any SOLIDserver™ part of a given SmartArchitecture™ will be automatically configured as well as various servers from other vendors, to establish a communication path among all of them securing communication flow and synchronizing data. SmartArchitecture™ manages physical, virtual and mixed infrastructures.
IPLocator™ for virtualized environment
In physical environments, IT administrators sometimes find it difficult to determine exactly how their resources are spread in their network: which switch is connected to which port, which ports are free and reusable. It is all the more difficult in virtualized environment as administrators cannot check the physical wires.
IPLocator™ is a network discovery tool that offers industry-leading network reconciliation capabilities. IPLocator™ identifies and archives any changes in IP or MAC address location on the network. It brings a global view of the company’s stations’ mobility by address offset -switch, slot, port and VLAN offset of an IP and or a MAC address. The displayed, archived information shows when, where and who was connected and remains connected so that IP and MAC mobility can be tracked easily.
For each IP and MAC address that is discovered, IPLocator™ will identify the following key information: switch name, switch slot, switch port, switch description, switch OS version, VLAN number, switch status, port speed, link status, first seen and last seen.
Discoveries made by IPLocator™ can launch alerts when an unknown device is detected on the network. Thanks to discovery results it becomes easy to locate and remove an infected station in order to provide an optimum reaction to security alerts.
